Say Hey to Ray Ray!

Hi! Welcome to Blog with the Dawgs! This blog focuses on the dogs in my life and also gives helpful tips for raising a dog along the way! Similarly to my last blog, Sweet Good News, I hope that this blog gives you joy and is the news you look forward to reading. On my home page, you will find many pictures of adorable pups. All of these are dogs of my friends or families. One of these is my own dog Roman who will be featured later on. My hope for this blog is that my friends and family will get a chance to see their dogs in the spotlight, people will learn new information about new breeds, and others will learn new dog advice for their own pets! The first dog to be featured this month is one of my best friends’ dog Ray!

Ray is a toy Yorkie which is also known as a “teacup Yorkie”. The approximate size for a toy Yorkie is 2 to 4 pounds and 4 to 5 inches tall. Ray Ray definitely is tiny!

Ray or “Ray Ray” is 8 years old. His family got him from a breeder in New Hampshire when he was very young. Teacup Yorkies are uncommonly found in rescue homes, but to learn more about where teacup Yorkies could be rescued, The Yorkshire Terrier Club of America includes many resources. Furthermore, there is even more information about the breed as well as events.

About Ray Ray:

Ray Ray is not a fan of other dogs, so the dog park is not for him. However, he loves to go on short walks with his family. If he’s not careful sometimes he will get little pine needles in his hair. Even though Ray Ray is not a fan of other dogs he loves humans so much. Ray Ray will immediately run over to kids when he sees them and is always there when you’re upset. He absolutely loves to be cuddled by humans and is extremely soft. Finally, due to his Italian upbringing, Ray’s favorite food is pastine. Of course when he eats it though it is served plain!

Ray Ray’s Favorite activities:

He loves to play tug of war and fetch in his yard. However, the ball has to be really small because of his petite size. Ray’s favorite activity and party trick are hitting balloons off his nose. He always shows it off when people come over to my friend’s house. Look below to see a video of him doing it.
